The teen court system is a diversion program for juvenile justice in the United States. This study examined the potential for introduction of a teen court in Japan based on a survey of the attitudes of 294 college students. Students understood the advantages and the effects of the teen court from the viewpoint of legal education in Japan. This study interpreted the teen court from the viewpoint of legal education in Japan and this study described the potential for a diversion program using existing institutions.
