In Mauvais sang, which is one of the chapters of Une saisons en enfer, the narrator gives some descriptions of his pagan genealogy. We are going to analyse the structure of the descriptions of 'ancestors', or 'an inferior race'. Then, we will be able to understand what the pagan genealogy means, and why the narrator wears the masks of 'a pagan'.
