This study controlled for factors of metacognition and motivation to achieve that are presumably related to results on the PPT. Two scores served as indicators of performance in psychology courses. These scores were calculated for students taking psychology courses, which included those courses with content related to the five courses in the A domain of the PPT. One score was the number of courses in which students earned credit, and the other was the score for courses in which students did not earn credit (treated as 0). The average score in psychology courses was calculated. Based on that score, the residual error was predicted (the controlled score in psychology courses). Also determined was the number of courses in the A domain taken by students who passed the PPT. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the number of psychology courses in which a student earned credit and the controlled score were factors closely associated with the number of courses taken by students who passed the PPT. These results suggest that the PPT is useful as an indicator to evaluate psychology education. In more specific terms, the PPT confirmed the validity of the psychology curriculum at the college and it confirmed the reliability of college transcripts in terms of the psychological expertise that students had gained.\n\n本研究では、心理学検定試験の結果に関連すると考えられるメタ認知や達成動機の要因を統制し、大学で受講した心理学教育課程の学生の心理学専門科目の成績が心理学検定試験の結果と関連するかどうかを明らかにすることを目的とした。心理学専門科目の成績の指標として以下の2つを使用した。心理学検定試験のA領域5科目に関連する講義内容を含む心理学専門科目群において、1)単位を修得した科目数、2)単位を修得していない科目の得点を0点として算出した心理学専門科目の平均点を0点とした科目数から予測した残差(統制された心理学専門科目の得点)を用いた。心理学検定試験の結果には合格したA領域の科目数を用いた。重回帰分析の結果、心理学専門科目の成績の指標のいずれもが、心理学検定試験の合格科目数に強く関連する要因であることが明らかとなった。これらの結果は、心理学検定試験がその大学で展開されている心理学専門教育のカリキュラムの妥当性と、学生が身につけた心理学専門知識に対する大学の成績評価の信頼性を確認できるという点で、心理学専門教育の評価指標として有用であることを示唆する。",
