認知的情動論の試み Cognitive Emotion ニンチテキ ジョウドウロン ノ ココロミ 大熊, 保彦 Ohkuma, Yasuhiko 文教大学人間科学部 Bunkyo University, Faculty of Human Science 認知 感情 This paper is an attempt to examine emotion from the standpoint of the cognitive theory, and from that of the schema theory in particular. A schema is something that contains, besides mere conceptual knowledge, all information concerning a given concept. Congnition is a process whereby information is constructively selected ultimately to form an interpretation of an object. A schema functions then in such a way as to give rise to anticipations of future events and information. Occurring when an anticipation proves false and the responsible schema must be relinquished, emotion can be defined as a reaction of "unexpectedness," which seeks to appease itself by the establishment of a new, more suitable schema. Insofar as a new schema conforms to a given subject's system and maintains and reinforces it, "pleasure" will be experienced by the subject.
