<dc:description>This study aimed to find the process of modification of self-image through muscular relaxation. Subjects were 17 college students. They were given a 28 items inquiry comprising of the following factors ; 'self-estimation depending on other's eyes' (Factor 1), 'sense of self fullnsee and positive self-estimation' (Factor 2), 'sense of enlargement and of activity in body' (Factor 3), 'sense of stability both in respiration and in heart rate' (Factor 4). Each item was rated with a five-points-scale, between before and after the relaxation. After the relaxation, while the scores decreased for Factor 1, increased for Factor 2, Factor 3 and Factor 4. The correlation coefficient and the path coefficient among the four factors revealed positive path relation from Factor 3 to Factor 2, and from Factor 3 to Factor 4, whereas negtive path relation from Factor 3 to Factor 1, and from Factor 2 to Factor 1. These results suggest that the modification of self-image through muscular reaxation is establisehd based on the reorganization of body self-image.</dc:description>
