| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to examine the validity of "simplified sand play" as a psychological assessment tool. This simplified sand play was one of new schematic projective techniques developed chiefly as psycholotherapy by K. Mizushima. The shimplified sand play is performed by arranging on a piece of white paper miniatures of a tree, grass, a stone and two dolls, one of which represents the self and the other does someone else. Ninety-eight college students (47 males, 51 females) were asked to perform the simplified sand play and to complete a questionnaire concerning depnendency and the revised UCLA Loneliness Scale. It was found that loneliness was positively related to the distance between the self doll and the tree in simplified sand play - that is, it was longer in subject of high loneliness than in subject of low loneliness. The distance tended to negatively correlate with dependency. The results of this study provided a partial support to the validity of the simplified sand play as a psychological assessment tool. |
