In this article, we aim to clarify similarities and differences between Japanese and American adolescents cognition and attitude toward children with factor analyses of 27 statements about children. Japanese respondents consisted of 347 students ; 136 males and 211 females at Bunkyo Univ. American adolescents consisted of 330 undergraduates ; 81 males and 229 females at Pennsylvania State Univ.
