| 内容記述 | The 12th World Cngress of Sociology has been held from 9th to 14th July in 1990 at Madrid University in Spain. It is said that approximately 3,000 sociologists have come together there and about 30 sociologists from Japan, too. This paper is that summalized the result of analizing the resources of presentations in Reseach Committee 11 "Sociology of Aging" in it when I have participated there from begining to end during 5 days. It contains 9 session and 2 joint sessions in it as follows; 1, Aging;Work and Retirement:New Frontiers, New Development. 2, Social Justice and Intergenerational Exchange. 3-4, Informal Care and Formal Care. 5, Theoritical Trends in the Sociology of Aging. 6, Aging, Family and Intergenerational Relations. 7, Age Group and Policies. 8, Old Age Issues in Developing Societies 9, Health Policies and Aging. Joint sessions. 1, Aging and Restructuring of the Life Course. 2, Sociology and Social Policy: The Future of the Welfare State in Aging Societies, Debates and Reforms. By title of each session, we can understand that sociological approach to aging were investegated on extensive fields. 75 sociologists in 19 countries have presented the result of their own investegations asd 29 persons from U. S. A., 13 from India, 9 from Canada, each 3 from France and The Netherland, each 2 from Norway, England, Finland and Japan and each 1 from some other countries. The classification by study substance could devided 6 categories;they were (1) Care and Assistance to Frail Elderly (2) Administrations and Policies on Aging (3) Life Cource of Elderly. (4) Family, Community and Folk. (5) Interchange of Generations. (6) Theory and others. 24 presentations, about 32% all of them, concerning with assistance to frail elderly were reported from U. S. A., Canada, Japan and other countries. This field had before been rather more studied with clinical method than as sociological method, but nowadays many sociologists have very interesting it, because it is necessary field for home care policies of aging societis, I think. The fields of family, community and folk had been had the highest interest by sociologists and on aging society, too, they have continued to investgate much matter of them. The international comparison to aging between advanced and developing societies were successfully taken effect with cross cultural analysis by sociologists. Finally this paper presents four cases of the fields of care assistance to frail elderly used sociological method as follws; 1, Cared for Caring:Dimensions of informal Caregiving among Elderly by Kulture, Nancy G. & Brogain, Donna R. of Emory Univ.. A. 2, Does Informal Care relate to Ethnic Diversity or Social Isolation? by Hevens, Betty & Chipperfield, Judith, Manitoba Health Winnipeg, Canada. 3, Perspectives on Aging in Developing Countries by Tout, Ken, Help International London, England. 4, Area Differences of the Life of elderly in Japan by Someya, Yosiko, Kagoshima Univ. Japan. |
