Children's needs for consumption become various and advanced accoding to adult living. The present condition of children's consumption living is investigated here in comparison with the data and the surveys for twenty years. 1. Most children monthly get pocket money in spite of the times. The average amount of middle years' student of elementary school is 500 yen, and upper years' is 1,000 yen. It has not so changed during 1970' and 1980'. Children use their pocket money for buying sweets, magazines or cartoon books. The price is cheap. 2. "Otoshidama", a New Years Present, is 10,000 yen on the average during 1970' and 1980'. The children who spend all "otoshidama" are very few, most children save money. 3.
