| 内容記述 | Three major newspapers : Asahi, Yomiuri, and Mainichi have been surveyed from July 1984 to June 1985. Total of 677 articles concerning physical and mentel disabilities were sampled. The articles are classified to (1) 303 articles on disabed persons and their families, (2) 178 on care services to the disabled children and persons, (3) 134 on opinions and attitudes, and (4) 63 on rerated fields. The total number of the articles decreased to about two fifth of 1982. The four categories were further subdivided for analysis. It is observed that eighty two percents of articles have been published in morning papers. Each newspaper published about one third of total number of articles. However this evenness does not neccessary mean evenness of profile in subcategories and contents. Results are summarized as follows. There is an obvios skewness in categories of disabilities published. Number of articles were dominated by physical, visual and auditory disabilities. Articles on psychiatric disease are written in relation to medical treatment and human rights rather than in relation to social action. On education, integrated education is emphasized, but segregating education is denayed. Although the number decreased, tendency did not change from 1981 which was the International Year of Diabeled Persons. So it will be concluded that we can read some parts about the disabled and other ones are concealed. |
