| 内容記述 | This report is based on the research for parents of first, third and sixth grades' pupils of an elementary school in Saitama prefecture. It consists of questions about greetings as children's basic manners and attitude of parents toward their children. The contents of above-mentioned research are as follows; 1. Greeting in the morning 2. Greeting before and after the meal 3. Gretting at the time of going out and getting home 4. Gretting at the time of going to bed 5. Gretting at the time of meeting with neighbors and others 6. A word of thanks 7. A word of apology 8. A word of reply The courteous greeting is very important means of showing our good will and is most important manners to maintain good human-relations. The words of greeting indicated in this report are very simple and to be learned easily by training. Moreover, we know that children learn behaviors by imitating parents' words and actions in their childhood. In the result of this study, it is found that school children have not learned greeting as custom because their parents don't teach, or show them how to greet in their childhood. |
