| 内容記述 | The purpose of this research is to study mother-child relationships of university students focusing upon dependence to and independence from their mothers. Questionairs and "schematic projective technique" (developed in our university) were used. The subjects were 48 university students (17 males and 31 females, 19 and 20 years of age). Statistically, when the independent group and the dependent group were compared, the latter showed positive and symbiotic feelings (or feelings of communion) toward mother. This is consistent with the results of schematic projective technique as shown in Fig 1 and Table 3 (more + type). This tendency was especially pronouced in the female students. In detailed case studies with six cases, various nuances were observed concerning dependence and independence as well as the process of achieving independence. Also Japanese own way to integrate dependence and independence was suggested. |
