| 内容記述 | This study aimes to find the process of modification of self-image through muscular relaxation. Subjects were 28 college students. Before and after relaxation, they were given an inquiry comprising 21 items. Cluster analysis was applied to the 21 items to find the following clusters; 'sence of free in body sensation and of stability in mental activity' (cluster 1), 'sense of self-fullness and positive attitude toward things' (cluster 2), and 'self estimation through comparison with others' (cluster 3). The t-test revealed a significant increase in rated scores after relaxation in most of the items belonging to cluster 1 and 2. Subjects were assigned to two groups (a high change group and a low change group) for the ratios (scores before vs after the relaxzation) in cluster 1. The high change group showed a significant increase in ratios for cluster 2, depite a significant decrease for cluster 3. These results suggest that the modification of self-image through muscular relaxation is established based on the reorganization of body self-image. |
