| 内容記述 | Recent research has shown that second language learning can be affected by such individual learner factors as age, aptitude, cognitive style, motivation, and personality. Differences in these factors result in differences in the rate at which learners learn and the level of competence they eventually attain. The following factors may be difficult, if not impossible, for language learners to control. a) age b) language aptitude c) personality On the other hand, the following can be changed and controlled by learners themselves, which means that they can also be controlled by teachers. d) cognitive style e) motivation f) affective factors The aim of the present paper is to discuss the question of how language teachers can help their students control these changeable learner factors. | |||||||
