Subjects were 122 undergraduates (45 males and 77 females) from Faculty of Human Science, Bunkyo University. The mean age was 20.8 years. It was found that, out of 39 phrases which had been preselected by the researchers, 15 were used by more than 75 percent of subjects and 22 were by more than 50 percent. Generally, the usage of the phrases was more frequent in females than in males. It was also show that many subjects were aware that "Strange ways of speech and queer phrases are in fashion (83.6%)", "Polite expressions are not used in a correct manner (80.3%)", "Many words are used incorrectly (66.4%)", "Girls often use manlike words (61.5%)", etc. These results suggest that young people are conscious of their broken usage of the Japanese language.}, pages = {67--92}, title = {「はやりことば」に関する研究(1) : 人間科学部学生の場合}, volume = {4}, year = {} }
