| 内容記述 | There is an increasing amount of emphasis in Japan these days with the concept of "internationalization" and the associated importance of foreign language study. This can be seen in the large numbers of people earnestly engaged in foreign language studies ; a phenomenon not to be seen in other countries. Although "internationalization" and foreign larguage studies has been a frequent topic of discussion in various fields, it can not be said that the relationship between them has been clearly explained. My focus in this paper is based on my experiences teaching Chinese as foreign language in Japan. I have chosen several examples for analysis and attempt to identify and define a truely positive potential in the linkage between these two phenomena. | |||||||
