| 内容記述 | In the previous article of 1995, I discussed problems of how to deal with foreign cultures in the English language class and suggested that we should pay attention not only to different features between cultures but also to universal features hidden under all human behavior. In the present article, I will discuss how we could describe universal features underlying all human cultures by using the Kluckhohn model, which provides us with a systematic means of analyzing a particular culture's value system. Thus we will be able, I hope, to instill in our students a sense of crosscultural awareness by providing them with the tools of identifying their own cultural value orientation as well as those of others. | |||||||
