| 内容記述 | Using the dual-access model as a framework, this study examined the influence of furigana on the recognition Japanese Kanji characters by foreign learners of Japanese as a second language. We conducted a lexical decision task experiment and found that furigana did not considerably influence learners of Japanese with Kanji backgrounds in the recognition of Kanji characters. In contrast learners of Japanese with Non-Kanji backgrounds were more likely to activate phonological representations and the phonologically mediated route was more likely to be dominant when furigana was present. | |||||||||||
