内容記述 | In this paper, I consider the direction to take to overcome moral education issues in the Japan’s national curriculum guidelines for moral education through the four keywords that became clear in the Education for Sustainable development (ESD) practices of Nara University of Education Junior High School. The four keywords are: (1) caring, (2) listening to polyphony, (3) learning through resonation between body and words, (4) setting a theme of rethinking the framework of moral education. With regard to current moral education, the political issue that led to its introduction cannot be ignored. Due to the politicization of the subject, “moral education through thinking and discussing” cannot go beyond the framework of superficial discussions, making it difficult to develop into a practice of true “in-depth study through independent thinking and discussion”. Based on this situation, I have organized the ESD practices that will lead to the future of moral education after COVID-19. Then, I consider the outline of ESD practices at the Nara University of Education Junior High School, especially in three classes, one home economics class and two moral education classes, conducted in 2020 by three teachers. I then explore the possibility of overcoming the issues in moral education mentioned above. Finally, as a result of these considerations, I propose concrete practices for moral education lessons on the theme of familiar grasses with one example of worksheets for students. Future research will involve considering what kind of practices can be further developed based on the lesson plan proposed in this paper, and requires consideration of the transformation of students’ learning and practical considerations of using worksheets. |
