| 内容記述 | This essay focuses on communities who reexamine their issues by implementing creative tools which involve cultural strategies and creative ways of expression for exploring community values and needs. It brings back in discussion the relationship between two important areas of community practice, art, and business. Since these two fields seem completely different at a first glance, they have not been compared in the recent years. Nevertheless, creative community-based projects are the mainstream nowadays and art and business efforts are intertwined. From the arts perspective, they are actively engaged in community art, relational art, and socially engaged art. From a business-related perspective developing community practices that incorporate art, such as design thinking, art thinking, and community business is crucial. This paper exemplifies and rethinks each project and shows that there is still a great variety of activities beyond existing areas such as art and business. By analyzing the failure and success of community practices, their creativity, and values, we will reconsider what “community” and “relationship” are, opening new possibilities for future community practice. | |||||
