Taking this view, I have tried in some previous papers to analyze Japanese Modern Family through one of the best-selling magazines “Shufu no Tomo (Housewives’ Companion)”, especially its husband-wife relationship. Is the Japanese modern conjugal love very much alike its source, the Western romantic love ideology, or not? In this paper, I focus on how the magazine in the pre-war period looked on the problem of divorce and show that its concept of love, closely related its nationalism, was very different from romantic love as well as what we think of it today.}, pages = {33--41}, title = {戦前期の『主婦の友』にみる「愛」と<国家社会> : 日本型近代家族における「恋愛」「愛」の固有性とその変容}, volume = {25}, year = {} }
