\n『宋書』は斉の永明五年に武帝の勅を受け編纂された。その隠逸伝は、劉宋期の隠者二十余名の伝を収録している。正史における隠者の伝としては、劉宋の范嘩『後漢書』にはじめて逸民伝が立てられ、梁の蕭子顕『南斉書』に高逸伝が立てられている。隠逸への関心が高まっていた時期であり、その風潮のなかで執筆されたものである。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　               隠逸伝論の内容は、その展開から四段に分けられる。導入部である第一段では、『周易』『論語』の隠逸に関する呼称の不統一を指摘し、「隠」の定義付けの必要性を主張する。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　       第二段は「隠」の定義付けが行われる箇所である。「隠」とは行跡・言行が他者に知られないことであり、実行するのは「大賢」であるとする。　　　　　　　　　　　　\n
