Active career education cultivates students' ability to define and solve problems, and encourages social independence. The added concept of "active" promotes career education through both subject learning and work-related learning in accordance with our interpretation of the Ministry of Education's revised guidelines announced in March 2008. We regard joint high school-university efforts as most important in offering better career education programs to both high school and university students. One example of such collaboration is the working group, which started in 2006, consisting of teachers and staff from Bunkyo University and its educational partner high schools in Kanagawa. The group regularly discusses the essence of career education, the educational effects of internship, the usefulness of first-year education at university, and citizenship education. The group now plans a new career program for high school students as a next step for active career education.}, pages = {1--16}, title = {アクティブ・キャリア教育を目指して : 地域の学校と取り組む文教大学の実践}, volume = {39}, year = {} }
