This paper examines the definition, activities and perception with a broad range of case study of the above topic. The context is divided into seven chapters as follows:Introdution, 1 Boom in Internationalization, 2 Westernalization vs "Japanization,"3 Conditions of Internationalists, 4 Internationalization in the field of education, 5 Japanese role as the International state, and Conclusion.  A progressive outcome of this study implies that a variety of program for internationalization of Japan has been undertaken mainly in the sectors of introducing foreign knowledge and technologies to Japan as well as exporting Japanese goods as a pattern of one way communication.  Therefore, we have to make more possitive effort to introduce the output of Japan to foreign countries to eliminate negative image of Japan's "inward-looking and closed society".}, pages = {41--47}, title = {日本の「国際化」に関する研究}, volume = {6}, year = {} }
