| 内容記述 | This paper examines the historical trend and scope of capital investment by Japanese Financial Institutions (JFI) in the U.S. market. The emphasis is mainy given to the focus on management strategies of the life insurance companies, so called, "the Seiho", during the process of a recent Yen appreciation period (1985-1988). The coverage of activities of JFI includes loan, investment in equities and securities, forward contract and tax heaven facilities. This research, also, is conducted in the field of fact-finding on Japanese capital investment as well as way of solution to avoid risks caused by currency and other economic factors. |
