| 内容記述 | The Shannon's amount of information transmitted by a discrete channel represents the amount of all the available uncertainty (,i, e. which is missing in the received symbols or which is removed from the transmitted symbols) about the joint probability of occurrence of a pair <transmitted symbols, received symbols>. This information measure based on a probabilistic interpretation, that is to say, the amount of information contained about the transmitted symbols contained in the received symbols does not involve any attempt to measure similarities between patterns to be recognized. The two mutual information-measures between patterns presented here are different from the various types of information measure heretofore explained in this paper in that the idea of probabilistic interpretation concerning the information transmitted will not stand up to an examination. The measure may be used to compare relative goodnesses of measurements produced by different recognition-models. \n Shannon相互情報量は二つの確率変数間の結合確率を用いて定義されており,この結合確率は統計的な仮定を導入しないと,実際の情報処理の場面においては計算しにくい。そのため,Shannon相互情報量は応用が限られ,変革が求められていた。本論文では,従来の各種1青報量を様々な観点から考察している。その結果,結合確率を導入しないで,パターン問に,一種の相互情報量が定義されている。提案されたこの新しいパターン問相互情報量は従来の相互情報量では表現しにくい内容を,パターン問類似度を用い計量化したものであり,パターン認識の働き伺志を比較検討する上で有用な量になることが期待される。 |
