Although professor Krugman raised an objection to "Asian Miracle", we can attribute high growth rate to two _kinds of technological progress one embodied to capital and the other to human capital, both of which are not contained in TFP. It is considered that foreign direct investment (FDI) is one form of technology transfer. We notice that Japanese FDI flow has changed its course and the amount of FDI towards other Asian countries are increasing. The other contribution to economic growth is the high quality of human capital, which can be partly captured by enrollment rate, literacy, and so on. Thus, it is important to discuss a new index of human capital, representing the capability of technology adoption and of technology development.}, pages = {125--135}, title = {直接投資にみる技術移転と human capital : アジア地域の高成長を支えるもの}, volume = {16}, year = {} }
