Data were collected from one-week of 24-hour television broadcasting in December 2011 and 2016 samples of program moments were randomly chosen from 70 television channnels in three channel source; terrestrial broadcasting, satellite roadcasting, communication satellite broadcasting. Originalal “diversity index” was developed to measure content diversity by examining each program moments for program genres, portrayal of character roles, information of text on screen, program's theme. The results showed that multi-channel broadcasting provided by satellite contributed to the audience's wider choice of programs, while low horizontal diversity was shown in terrestrial broadcasting program genres which was divided into two categories: private broadcaster’s entertainment orientation and public broadcaster’s educational orientation. Overall diversity was shown in content of satellite broadcasting whose number of the channels rapidly increased in this research season.}, pages = {19--42}, title = {テレビ番組の放映内容と放送の「多様性」その3: 地上波放送およびBS、CS放送の内容分析調査}, volume = {49}, year = {} }
