It is one example of Diaspora situation nowadays. During 1970's Australia has shifted its policy from that of Assimilation and White Australia to that of multiculturalism. As for the schools, almost one in four students in the Victorian schools come from language backgrounds other than English, and a Multicultural policy for Victorian schools has been introduced by the Department of Education and Training. In this research, I conducted classroom observations and interviewed immigrant students from Vietnam and Cambodia and the teachers for 4 months. I explored how Vietnamese-born and Cambodian-born students and their school teachers speak about their experiences in an Australian school and how the students feel they belong in Australian society through an Australian school. I developed my arguments in three steps; relationships, contradictions of difference and the paradox of multiculturalism.}, pages = {81--87}, title = {学校教師とベトナム系・カンボジア系の生徒にとっての多文化主義 : オーストラリア・メルボルンのsecondary schoolでの事例}, volume = {18}, year = {} }
