Mt. Fuji is now as popular a tourist destination as Kyoto, or the Tokyo area. But regrettably Mt. Fuji was polluted by acid rainwater, garbage, and human excrement in the high mountain area. Thirty years ago, in Mt. Fuji there was a lot of water springing from the foot of the mountain, for example in Mishima City and Fujinomiya. And recently, there were many factories at the foot of Fuji producing technical goods. Those companies need much clean water from under Fuji mountain, but the clean water springing from the foot of Mt. Fuji has been decreasing and as a result, many rivers were polluted with garbage, empty cans, and so on. For ten years, the NPO Mishima Ground Work has been organized with the collaboration of volunteers. It has endeavoured to clean up the Genpei River and Kakita River for the people in the Mishima area. And another volunteer group named Fujisan Club including the members of Mishima Ground Work has began to clean up Mt. Fuji and to set up a biotoilet. For us cirizens, to clean and renew the original state of nature that Mt. Fuji had for a long time, it is necessary to have public interest from us human beings. Now, what we need most is publicity and so on.}, pages = {17--30}, title = {ツーリズム産業のグローバル化戦略}, volume = {21}, year = {} }
