When PRC was built in 1949, Burma was one of the earlist non-socialist countries that recognized the establishment of the goverment. And China sent the first ambassador to Burma in August 1950, when China sent the ambassadors to Eastern European socialist countries. Premier Zhou Enlai has visited Burma for 9 times, and Ne Win, the top leader of Burma, has visited China for 12 times. Burma, as a neiboring country, is very important for China's diplomacy in Asia.
