Usually new communities are evaluated according to how convenient they are : where the buses go, how long it takes to get to the train station, how close supermarkets are, etc. However, assessment standards should also consider less concrete criteria, such as the effect of such new towns on the 'taste' or sensibilities of the people who live in them. Do they encour age people to live with a sense of appreciation and enthusiasm?\n　I believe that this sense of appreciation and enthusiasm is strongly affected by how the areas of new towns are bounded, both geographically and culturally. How are such domains to be established and developed?
