The author attempts to compare the manuscript of the sermons by Zen Muster Bankei, handed down as the Futetu-an manuscript with the similar one in possession by the author. Comparatively speaking, references to the ordinary acts and thoughts of Zen are made more frequently in the Futetu-an manuscript than in other transcribed sermons of later years (mainly those of 1690・元禄三年) by Zen Master Bankei. The sermons in the Futetu-an manuscript might provide valuable clues to our understanding of the concept of "Unborn" (不生) by Zen Master Bankei. And the author understands that to live in the Unborn is the leap to the encompassing (der Aufschwung in das Umgreifendes) by the expression of K.
