The amendment to the Ministry regulations this time around is not a mere revision of certain provisions, but rather a drastic one affecting the fundamentals of our higher education system.  The first notable change in the regulations is abolishment of the clear distinction among the four required course subjects, which have been classified, according to their content as foreign language, health and physical education, general education and specialized education.  The second is the introduction of a self-evaluation mechanism.  The third is a revision of the academic credit-earning system and related to that is the commencement of a degree-granting mechanism.  Relating to foreign language instruction, there have been a variety of foreign language teaching programs, such as summer intensive courses, which are often connected with international exchange programs, certificate examination system and so on.  This study reports on the revision of foreign language teaching programs in some interdisciplinary faculties.}, pages = {127--139}, title = {大学の学際課程と外国語カリキュラム : 事例研究ノート}, volume = {3}, year = {} }
