| 内容記述 | Appreciation of art is a creative activity which cultivates and nourishes one's mind and feelings. Though the term "creative activity" may give an image of making something artistic, the meaning of the term ranges from such an ordinary one to a special, more important one, to re-create oneself as a person full of energy that enables one to live a happy life under any condition. Here I would like to introduce a good example of a creative appreciation of art, "the dialogical appreciation", carried out between Amelia Arenas and some school children. In this appreciation, the important points are these; to talk freely about what everyone feels about a piece of artwork; to exchange opinions; and to listen to what others say. In the process, inspired by others' ideas and opinions, children gradually come to know that there can be many right answers. They can learn that each idea and opinion has some merit, and can form their own ideas and opinions with confidence in the end. The basis of the course of study will change, and so will the concept of learning ability. Therefore, it is time to change the paradigm of the appreciation of art, from a conventional one to a creative one, from teaching and memorizing to thinking and fining oneself through dialog. |
