In these studies some questionnaires will be due to be devised at the major point of view of what is contributed to one's mental life by a story in Japan. In this study, Subjects were 196 students with majors in the school of humanities and they were required to recall and write up to 10 titles of some impressive story as many as possible. And they answered questionnaires regarding their expectances before seeing a story and their necessary sense to evaluate it as a deeply emotive experience. Subjects recalled 1209 titles (average=6.3) for impressive stories, and that classified into 25 categories on manners of provided stories. As a result of this study the 2 following points were indicated. Firstly, common manners were live-action films, novels, animated films and comics. Secondly, subjects evaluated a story on main theme, humanity of characters, detailed descriptions, sympathy, plot development or multiple entertainment and the major point of evaluation was detailed descriptions in a story.
