It can be described as an ethnic media that provides specialized software in the language appropriate for the restricted target audience of Japanese- South Americans.\nThe following article takes a look at one of the largest corporations of ethnic media, the International Press Corporation (IPC), and examines its characteristics (the \"culture\" of the company) and software, primarily through talks with the top people in charge of Portuguese-language newspapers and broadcasting.\nIn addition, the article touches on the factors that act as hindrances for\ndekasegi media within the existing state of Japanese media and presents its\noutlook for the future.\nThe media discussed here is a highly exceptional one.
