Simulated polytomous test data was generated using Fujimori's partial test score model with vertical equalization, on the assumption that individual tests were conducted for two populations having a significantly different ability (some anchor polytomous items are included in both tests). The population average and variance were estimated using a method based on Mislevy's research (Mislevy, 1984). Unfortunately, the concurrent calibration in this study showed poor results.
