Ten tools related to personality, preferences, attitudes, values, and ability have developed independently for about fifteen years. These tools have been used in order to advance understanding of psychological concepts or enhance self-reflection via lectures or mutual interview workshops. The effectiveness of these tools was gauged based on written student accounts. Use of these tools in teaching enhanced self-reflection, advancement of attitudinal skills, and psychological knowledge. This work discusses how psychometric tools are diagnostic as well as assistive in encouraging self-reflection or attitudinal skills.
