 note = {生徒、学生のキャリア選択の判断は、自己について考えた後、他者や組織への配慮、慣習や規則を意
識したうえで、判断しているものと思われる。このようなことは、必要な場面に直面したときだけでは
なく日常的に行われており、弱者への援助行動についても同様といえる。
このことから、キャリア選択を考察する際において、自己のことのみならず、他者との関係性や集団
組織との関係性、慣習や規則（ルール）との整合性を総合的に捉え、ある範囲の社会的な様式を表して
いると考えられる。
社会心理学者であるCharles Daniel Batson（チャールズ・ダニエル・バトソン）が、『Altruism in
humans』（翻訳本『利他性の人間学：実験社会心理学からの回答』新曜社（2012））の中で、４つの社
会的動機の様式を示した。本研究の目的は、この示された様式・利己性（Egoism）・利他性
（Altruism）・集団性（Collectivism）・原理性（Principlism）を主軸に、キャリア選択の価値観を利己
性、利他性、集団性、原理性の視点から捉え、特に初期のキャリア判断の過程に関して検討することで
ある。
具体的には、生徒、学生が個人のキャリア選択について判断する際、不確実な思考対象に対して、意
識的あるいは無意識的に、自分のためなどを中心とする自己利益の獲得を目指した価値判断をするな
ど、自己のキャリアに対する認知的環境を再構成していこうとする種々の認知過程が存在するはずであ
る。仮定された自己のキャリア選択の志向が、４つの社会的動機の様式に影響されるのかを取り上げた
うえで分析し、明らかにしたい。
The purpose of this study is to explore how career selection is processed based on four human
values―egoism, altruism, collectivism, and principlism, particularly focusing on the process of the
early stage of career selection and determination. Student's judgment of career selection involves
thinking about himself followed by considering others and organizations as well as societal norms and
rules. In this respect, research on career selection requires not only investigating the self but also
examining a relationship between the self and the other, that between the self and the organization,
and a consistency between the self's behaviors and societal customs and regulations. From this notion,
such analyses entail importantly investigating egoism, altruism, collectivism, and principlism in
relation to career selection. Thus, this study pays much attention to those four values or motivations
that Charles Daniel Batson, a preeminent social psychologist, proposed in his book “Altruism in
Humans”. In the present study, it is assumed that students are required to restructure their cognitive
schema with regard to their own career when determining a career choice at a grade early stage during
school life. In this occasion, it is thought that students must judge career selection by using their values
in order to resolve an indecisive and uncertain situation of their career selection in which they often
face. In sum, this study will specify and discuss which four values or motivations affect the process of
career determination according to the student's intention towards a career choice.},
