The English signs in Japan’s popular tourist sites have\nto be increased in number and improved in quality so that the tourists will be able to enjoy fruitful\nand profitable trips to those sites.\nFollowing Fukushima (2016.1), (2016.7), (2017.1) and (2017.7), this paper, as a case study,\nexamines the English signs found on signs in the popular tourist sites, such as the Nijou-jou [-castle],\nthe Enryaku-ji [-temple], Ama-no-hashidate [sandbar], and Tottori-sakyuu (sand dunes).\nThe signs discussed here are also those which indicate the general summarized information\nabout these sites.
