In response to such tremendous changes, corporate strategies need to drastically change. However, the question is how should corporate strategies change? In addition, is the corporate strategy theories field able to contribute to strategic measures in a way that responds to these changing times? This paper roughly classifies corporate strategy theories into the planning school and the resource-based view and reviews the details of strategy theories included in these respective classifications. Furthermore, this paper identifies current crises faced by companies and examines suitable types of strategic theories as a way of thinking to respond to these crises.
