First, in order to show the aim and direction of this paper, we consider the "culture" theory on the eve of the outbreak of the Pacific War with reference to the previous research. Next, we analyze the various "culture" theories that were actively discussed after the Pacific War. The first thing we pick up is the "culture" theory that was discussed immediately after the war broke out. In the theory, a new "culture" theory was discussed as the Greater East Asia culture theory in line with the expanding Greater East Asia mutual prosperity zone. The second one we pick up is a Japanese culture theory based on the dichotomy between Western culture and Oriental culture. In the theory, the history and characteristics of Japanese culture were discussed. The third one we pick up is a discussion related to the cultural work:how to spread Japanese culture to the peoples of the Greater East Asia mutual prosperity zone. As mentioned above, this paper analyzed what words and rhetoric organized the "culture" theory that was created from its deep connection with the Pacific War. Finally, we compiled this paper while examining the remarks of Kunio Kishida, a key person in the culture in the Showa era 10's.}, pages = {53--71}, title = {昭和10 年代における〈文化〉論:Ⅱ ――日本文化/大東亜文化/世界文化}, volume = {24}, year = {} }
