Results revealed four descriptions of human science item in Japanese print encyclopedias in the National Diet Library Tokyo Pavilion. Each description first appeared from 1958 to 1985, a period known as the encyclopedia boom in Japan.\nDescriptions of human science found in recent digital encyclopedias are the same as those in printed encyclopedias.
