The paper first identifies the culture which is most likely to appear as a precondition of scandals in Japanese corporations and later examines why this Japanese corporate culture can be analyzed universally as unique through a review of literature on Japanese corporate culture. Next, the paper discusses scandals under the influence of such culture based on case examples. Finally, the paper reviews procedures of organizational development as a psychological technique to transform culture and other transformation techniques.
