A meaningful encounter with a particular person in daily life often becomes a turning point in the life of a young person. It is in adolescence that an encounter is experienced by him or her as the encounter in itself. The personal face of each partner in an encounter plays an important role in the situation. The encounter between historical figures clearly shows such a process. There are cases where an adolescent wants to have psychological counseling about various human relations or various encounters. In counseling situations, the face of a client confronts (without intermediary object) that of a counselor. And the theme of "face" is sometimes taken up in this situation. The inner (psychologial) "face to face" relation corresponds to the outer (real) "face to face" relation. Thus it is possible to say that these relations may form a system in the sense of GENERAL SYSTEM THEORY.}, pages = {1--10}, title = {顔とコミュニケーション : III 青年期と顔}, volume = {16}, year = {} }
