内容記述 | In accordance with the progress of ageing, and above all the postponement of the age to receive welfare annuity from 60 to 65, employment of older people, aged between 60 and 65, has been one of the social problems to be solved. It was presumed that such older people as "1) enjoy health, 2) have enough monetary surplus, 3) have philosophy to continue to work as long as they can move, 4) attach importance to time to work and to have happy family circles, 5) have been admitted to continuing employment or have been transferred to other relevant companies, 6) are main supporters of family budgets, 7) have the length of service of more than 35 years, and so forth", are prone to work even after passing retirement age. These features show contradictory situations of employment of older people, and suggest need of adequate career development and human network. On the other hand, personnel management at the workshops for older workers are highly insufficient. As regards the ways and means for motivating them, the following three points are to be stressed, …1) treatment based upon proper evaluation of older workers' ability, will to work and attitude, 2) rewards according to contributions, 3) organizational climate to create warm human relations, in addition to respect to 1) job autonomy, 2) responsibility based upon clear job demarcations. These two kinds of motivation may seem to be different in dimensions, but are closely interrelated and connected with giving rise to older peoples' participation rate in workforce. |
