| 内容記述 | This is the 2nd report of the successive studies on the phrase in fashion. Our previous study (1991) used 39 phrases, whereas in this study we used 162 phrases which had been cited in the yearbook about contemporary words; Basic Knowledge of Contemporary Words 1992 (Gendai Yougo no Kiso Chisiki 1992). The purpose of this study is to investigate how frequently the young people use the phrase in fashion and why they use it. Subjects were 112 freshmen (41 males and 71 females) from Faculty of Human Science, Bunkyo University. The mean age was 19.1 years. It was found that 30 out of 162 words were used by more than 50 percent of subjects and 75 words were used by less than 10 percent. It was also show that most subjects（75.5%）have been using them unconsciously. The reason for using them was that they wanted to talk merrily and fluently each other. | |||||||||||
