| 内容記述 | This study deals with the myth of Yamato Takeru. Here in Part 2, Takeru’s symbolism of his adventure in the unknown east of Japan is closely examined. The work also discusses the symbolic and psychological meaning of the myth of Takeru as follows. (1) Takeru undertakes his adventure to restore and reenergize his father's weakened vitality. (2) Protective items save him with the help of the self-regulating system of the instinctive impulses. (3) The experience of love as a whole and its overall development sanctifies this living world. (4) The hero obtains the “wisdom of nature” and the “knowledge of the unconscious.” (5) The hero recognizes the source of life, immortality, and the transformation of libido through expression of the “flow of time.” |

| 内容記述 | 本研究では、ヤマトタケル神話を神話学的、象徴的、心理学的に論究する。本論第2部においては、タケルが未開の地、東国に遠征する物語を詳しく考察した。 タケルのストーリーから象徴的、心理学的に、次の点が明らかとなった。（1）タケルは、父である景行天皇の衰弱した生命力を回復・再生させるために東征に出かけた。（2）護りの品は、本能衝動に備わる自己制御の発現を促してタケルを助けた。（3）全一的かつ全体形成的な愛の体験は、この世を聖化する。（4）英雄は、「自然な知恵」「無意識の知識」を手に入れる。（5）英雄は「時間の流れ」を表現することで、生命の源泉、不死性、リビドーの変容を認識する。 |
