The Japanese government has been working toward the realization of a “super-smart society” (Society 5.0) since FY2016, and the spread of the new coronavirus infection has required significant transformations in social life, which has led to rapid digital transformation (DX) in various fields in recent years. Specifically, in language education, progress has been made in “AI and language learning support tools”, “digitization of teaching materials and online international collaborative learning”, and “VR and metaverse utilization. In the tourism sector, DX is being adopted to disseminate local resources information and customer service that combines reservation and safety management. In the transportation field, DX has improved the convenience of existing services, and new transportation services (MaaS, flying cars, etc.) that have been born are emerging. In the sports field, DX is advancing in measuring and training equipment, as well as in sports-watching services, and the sports ICT market is expected to grow in the future. In nutritional guidance, the AI-based diet management application “ASUKEN” is widely used, but a comparison of the results of this application with the amount of nutrients calculated by the food composition table showed little significant difference.
